Weapon Generation

A recently forgotten research project has been discovered. The project was in it's final stages, and minimal scientific data was lost. The project investigated the origins of the Gundead, and more specifically their weapons. Predominantly identical revolvers that were common place in Malvern's past, and more rarely more modern weapons. Recovered modern weapons have nearly all had their serial numbers tracked back to manufacturers. All non-identical weapons have been confirmed to have been last aboard seafaring vessels or missing aircraft.

All instances of disassembly, or breaking down into base parts, has resulted in the entire weapon seemingly melting into a thick black substance. It has been noted that this liquid is visually similar to that which has been found in trace amount in and around Meatbags.

When in contact with a significant electric charge, the substance will change shape into another weapon similar to others used by Gundead. The substance will only take on the shape, and not actually function. Removing the electrical current removes all form and reverts it back to a sludge state, reintroducing the electrical current will often yield a different weapon shape seemingly based on voltage and amplitude. Attempts to use the weapon while electrified have apparently been done, but no results were recorded amongst the research notes, only a warning not to attempt such things.

Research on whether this substance can be reformed and retain shape without current is currently high priority. Meatbag samples are to be brought to Research lab 12B.

A request has been lodged for the usage of  the substance for the Doint Project.

A request has been lodged for the donation of skin samples for the Doint Project.

Cave Refuge

Those deemed low-priority have taken to the somewhat flooded south caves to hideout from the radiation, mild rioting, and nuclear snow. Officials have warned against this as the caves still contain vast amounts of toxic chemicals, civilians say they "don't care"
